It's a Girl!

03.23.09

Last week's doctor appointment went well. The ultrasound revealed we're having a girl. Now, we do realize we were told Andrew would be a girl, but this ultrasound was much better than any we ever had with Andrew. So, we're confident we're having a girl. We're working on names but we don't plan to announce the name before she's born. I guess it's just fun to torture people that way. :) And yes, we do plan to have a boy name picked out, just in case! Wish us luck with that as there are no boy names William likes.

We also found out that my placenta previa has disappeared, so thank God for that. I was feeling very uneasy about that situation and was so glad to hear it has taken care of itself.

My next doctor's appointment is April 17 and will include a glucose test and another ultrasound. I'm already dreading the glucose test.

Here are a couple of pictures of our little girl!

Sunny Days

03.05.09

We decided to take advantage of the beautiful weather earlier this week - that, and the fact that Daddy had a day off - and headed to the park in Oakley. Andrew had a lot of fun and made a couple of new friends.

Andrew used to love the swings but now he's not so sure. He's more interested in the slide than anything else and this particular days new game was to slide to the bottom and then sit and say "cheese" so I'd take his picture.

I go back to the doctor next Tuesday. I wonder if we'll be able to find out if this baby is a boy or girl. Whatever it is, it sure has been active this week. It moves around a lot first thing in the morning and then at night when I'm trying to go to sleep. I asked Andrew if he wanted a brother or a sister yesterday and he told me he wants a brother. I have a feeling he might be surprised...

Chuck E. Cheese Eat and Play

03.03.09

After a few days at home after the snow, we decided to take Andrew to Chuck E. Cheese. I had never been myself, so it was an experience for us both. Andrew didn't eat a lot but he did enjoy running around and pressing all the buttons on the games. And he loves skee ball so we spent a lot of time in that corner!

Snow Day!

03.02.09

The last time it snowed, Andrew refused to wear his snow boots and didn't have any other waterproof shoes that would be snow-friendly. So, we admired the snow from inside. But this time Daddy was home when it snowed and even though Andrew still refused to let me put his boots on, he was just fine with his Daddy putting them on. Go figure...

So, off we went to play in the snow!

Oh, and in case you're wondering, Andrew had a mouthful of bananas that he had apparently decided to save for later.
