April Doctor's Appoinment

04.17.2009

Today's Doctor's appointment went well. I'm still loosing weight, but my blood counts and urine tests are all good, so there's nothing to worry about. I had another ultrasound and it's still a girl. :) She currently weights 2 pounds and 6 ounces and has plenty of fluid protecting her.

I finally made a decision for a birth plan. I'm going to have another c-section. After I signed my intent, the doctor told me a c-section really is what's safest for the baby so I felt a little better about my decision. That is, after all, my number one concern.

I had my glucose test today. I feel confident the results will be good.

And now I start going to the doctor every two weeks. My next appointment is May 4.

Easter 2009

04.11.2009

The Easter Bunny left some goodies for Andrew that insisted he take along for the ride to church. He also left some goodies for him at his Aunt Jo-Jo's and then Nana spoiled him with lots of goodies too. Easter may just be Andrew's favorite holiday - that is until Christmas rolls around again!

After church we had lunch with my family and then headed to Old Fort to spend some time with William's family. Several of William's aunts and uncles were in town and it was really nice to visit with them.

The day before Easter, I took Andrew to see the Easter Bunny. He wasn't so sure about him. He agreed to sit on his lap but he drew the line at offering a smile for the camera.

Here are a few pictures from our day:

What a Big Boy!

04.06.09

I'm beginning to sort through some of Andrew's baby stuff, as well as some of the stuff we received as gifts when we thought Andrew was going to be a girl. We have a lot of work to do in order for the nursery to be ready and I'm feeling very overwhelmed. But Andrew has really been responding well to the idea of a baby. He loved helping Mommy sort through bottles, rattles and such. And at times we watch A Baby Story and he just smiles and laughes when he sees the baby. I don't know if he quite understands there's a baby in Mommy's tummy. If he does, he's trying to squash it.

We're making progress on the potty training. I'll be so glad when the weather turns warm and stays warm so we don't have to slow things down with pants. Of course, Andrew would be happy to run around in the buff all the time. Boys...

We've also made progress putting Andrew in his big boy bed. He loves the idea of sleeping in it, playing in it and waking up in it, it's the idea of going to sleep in it he's not too fond of and that's been a bit of a stuggle. Last night was better, but we'll see what tonight brings.

Here are a couple of not-so-clear pictures of Andrew in his big boy bed:
