What's New?
Welcome to our new blog. As you've probably guessed, William and I are expecting a new little one. Andrew's going to be a big brother!
The due date is July 12. We went for our first ultrasound on December 1. Everything looked good and the baby measured 7 weeks and 4 days old - a little bigger than I expected. The heart rate was a strong 160 beats per minute.
With Andrew, it seems like I was sick for 9 months. I've not been feeling great for several weeks but I've only been sick-sick three times so far. I'll spare you the details, of course, but with Andrew I was sick-sick everyday.
We plan to tell William's family on Christmas Eve and my family on Christmas Day. We've not completely decided how to tell them yet, but we're working on a plan.
So, this new blog will focus on our family as a whole whereas our last blog was primarily about the growth and development of our little Andrew. Who, by the way, is doing very well. His daddy only had to work two days this month so Andrew's really enjoying the extra time with him. So much, in fact, it's as if Mommy doesn't exist. But that's okay because it's allowed me time for some much-needed rest. Growing a baby is hard work, you know!?!
Anyway, Andrew is really talking and has a new love of trains. He spends all day constructing different routes with the tracks and today he decided it would be fun to use his blocks to make the track go up hill. He gets so excited and is so much fun to watch.
Tomorrow we go to pick-up Andrew's Christmas pictures. I wasn't too pleased with how they turned out but at least it's a memory of his sweet face this time of year. I long to find a photographer with a personality and understanding of 2-year-olds.
What's Next?
My next doctor's appointment is December 22. It's just a routine visit. In the meantime, here's the first set of pictures of our little peanut:
