The Countdown Begins...

Last Doctor Visit
My June 23 visit to the doctor went well. I was only dilated 1 centimeter, so there was no concern for an early delivery. My doctor is on vacation this week, so I'm hoping tomorrow's doctor's appointment will deliver the same news.

Andrew's Wellness Check
I just realized I didn't write anything about Andrew's 3-year wellness check. Everything went great. His iron and cholesterol were great. (I had no idea they check cholesterol in 3 year olds!) He weighed 42 pounds and measured 38 inches.

Where we are Now
Now that our little girl will be here in less than a week, it's time for me to get a lot of last minute things done. I really want to make sure our house is nice and clean for her homecoming and I also need to make sure we have enough groceries and essentials since I know I won't feel like shopping anytime soon. I also need to pack our hospital bags - something I really should have done before now!

But what I seem to be focusing the most on is my fear of having another c-section. It's not that I don't trust my doctor or that God will watch over us, I'm just nervous about the procedure. With Andrew, I was unconscious for everything and this time, if all goes well, I'll be awake. So even though I've been through this before, I really have no idea what to expect. Plus, with Andrew things moved so fast from the time I found out I was having surgery to being put to sleep that it all seems like a blur to me.
